Privacy

What we collect, and what we delete.

Written in plain language, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody. Last updated 22 August 2026.

The short version

Three things worth knowing.

Your family's originals never leave your house. We delete our working copy after we deliver. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

If you fill in the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, and a description of what you need. You can add a phone number and the service you are interested in, but neither is required.

That information is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, which is where we read new enquiries from. It is configured so that submissions can be created but not read publicly — only we can see them. We use it to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list, because we do not have one.

Anti-spam

The form includes a hidden field that real people never see. Automated submissions that fill it in are discarded. We do not use CAPTCHAs and we do not fingerprint you.

If we digitize your family's photographs and documents

This is the part that deserves the most care, because a box of family papers can contain medical records, wills, financial statements, and identity documents.

Your originals stay with you

We work at your home. Nothing is mailed to us, nothing is taken away, and nothing is stored at our premises. Your materials are photographed or scanned where they sit and returned to where they came from.

What we hold, and for how long

While your project is in progress we hold a working copy of the files so we can finish organising and labelling them. Once we have delivered your files and you have confirmed you received them, we delete our working copy. If you would like it deleted sooner, or want written confirmation that it is gone, ask and we will do it.

What we never do with it

We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone outside Avodas without your instruction. We do not publish it, and we do not use your family's photographs as examples or marketing material unless you have specifically told us we may. We do not use your material to train artificial intelligence systems.

Records made from memory

When we record what your family tells us about an item — a name, an approximate date, a place — we write down that it came from them and whether they were certain. We do this so that a recollection is never mistaken for a verified fact later on. It is a matter of accuracy rather than privacy, but it belongs on this page.

If we document your property

Scans, photographs, floor plans and asset records of a property belong to the owner who commissioned them. We deliver you a copy of both the raw capture and the finished work. We do not share a property's records with anyone else — including vendors, buyers or agents — unless you tell us to.

Analytics and this website

We use Google Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It tells us that a page was viewed; it does not tell us who you are. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, our analytics does not load at all.

This site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. There are no advertising trackers, no social media pixels, and no third-party cookies on this site.

Asking us to delete something

Email avodas.tech@gmail.com and tell us what you want removed. That includes an enquiry you sent through the form, or any working copy of your family's material. We will confirm in writing when it is done.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Family collections often contain photographs of children, including people who are now adults; those are treated exactly like the rest of your material and are covered by everything above.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and update the date at the top. We will not quietly broaden what we do with material you have already given us.
