About us
The name is the whole idea.
Avodah is a Hebrew word that means work. It is also the word for worship. Not two related words — the same one, doing both jobs.
We took that as a company name because we believe it is true: that ordinary work, done with care and integrity, is not a lesser thing than the sacred. A building scanned properly. A record kept honestly. A number quoted fairly to someone who could not tell the difference if we did otherwise.
Avodas exists to serve property owners and managers who are responsible for something they cannot fully see — and to turn that ordinary service into provision for people who need it, thousands of miles from here.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
Colossians 3:23Mission
What we are here to do.
To help property owners steward what they have built — documenting it, protecting it, and giving them clarity they can act on — so that the work of managing property funds work that matters far beyond it.
Vision
Where we are going.
To be the most trusted and most affordable property intelligence service in San Antonio, the Texas Hill Country, and across the state — and to turn everyday property work into provision for families in the Middle East and Africa.
Our values
A.V.O.D.A.S.
Six commitments, spelling the name. They are the order we make decisions in when a decision is genuinely hard.
Anchored — in faith, before profit
Our convictions came first and the business was built after them, not the other way around. When the two conflict, the conviction wins. That is not a marketing line; it is the reason we will occasionally tell you not to hire us.
Vision beyond the visible
Our entire trade is what you cannot see — above the ceiling, behind the wall, inside the equipment, buried in a file nobody has opened in six years. We go looking for it on purpose.
Others first — the owner’s interest, always
We do not perform the repairs we assess, and we do not take referral fees from the trades. If the honest answer is that you do not need the work, that is the answer you get.
Diligence in the details
A serial number read wrong is worse than a serial number left blank. We photograph the nameplate, we check the model against the manual, and we tell you plainly which parts of the record we are confident in.
Abundance — what we earn, we send
A portion of every project supports families in the Middle East and Africa. Not the leftovers at the end of a good year — a share of the work itself, project by project.
Service as worship
Avodah. The same word for both. We would rather be the company that showed up on time, did the unglamorous part properly, and told the truth about what we found, than the one with the better brochure.
